Does it drain the battery?

Buddy sends your position every 15 seconds and sends less often when you are standing still. A 3-hour trip typically uses 8–12% of the battery.

What if I lose signal?

The app keeps your last known position and marks you as “no signal”. Once you are back online, everything syncs by itself.

Do the others need the app?

Yes — Buddy is on both the App Store and Google Play. Once it is installed, scan the QR code, type the 6-character code or paste the invite link to join the right trip, no account needed.

Is Buddy free?

Free for groups of up to 10 people and day trips. Larger groups and long-term history will be part of a paid plan.
